This program also helps agents conform to the NAR Code of Ethics which prohibits providing specialized services without proper training. “Realtors® shall not undertake to provide specialized professional services concerning a type of property or service that is outside their field of competence. Successful completion of 22.5 hours of instruction is required for certification. Graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and join over 2,000 other professionals who are recognized as “Commercial and Investment Real Estate Certified” (CIREC) agents. Connecticut Continuing Education approved elective credit for 6 hours towards licensing renewal and 15 elective credit hours towards Connecticut Real Estate Brokers application.
