We will discuss the following:

Hot Water Heat Learning Outcomes

This course educates real estate professionals on hot water heating systems, which are often perceived as outdated. The course covers how these systems work, their pros and cons, and modern upgrades like in-floor radiant heating and ductless air conditioning. By the end, participants will be able to differentiate between a furnace and a boiler, describe heating distribution methods, understand key system components, and estimate costs for installing or converting heating systems.

Identifying Furnace Deficiencies

This course focuses on heating principles and furnace efficiency, helping real estate professionals identify furnace types and their efficiency levels. Participants will learn how heat exchangers work, how to distinguish between conventional, mid-, and high-efficiency furnaces, and the pros and cons of high-efficiency models. The knowledge gained will enable professionals to guide clients in choosing the appropriate furnace.

Air Conditioning for an Older Home

This course explores air conditioning solutions for older homes, including those heated by hot water. It covers basic AC concepts, how to assess an older home's cooling needs, and various installation options. By the end, professionals will understand common cooling challenges, ways to improve forced-air cooling, and alternative AC solutions like ductless systems. This knowledge helps professionals offer informed recommendations to clients.
