Fair Housing – Myths vs. Reality

Wednesday, September 9th | 9am-12pm | Zoom | 3 Elective CE Credits | $35 Members/ $55 Non- Members | Instructor Amy Lavoie

This Course meets the 2025-2027 Fair Housing Requirement as set forth by NAR.

This course helps real estate professionals take a closer look at the Fair Housing laws they think they know. We’ll walk through real-life situations, common misunderstandings, and what the law actually says about protected classes, discrimination, and your responsibilities as an agent.
You’ll learn how to recognize issues like steering, redlining, and differential treatment—and what to do if they show up in your transactions. We’ll also explore the added protections in Connecticut and what they mean for your day-to-day business.
Whether you're new to real estate or have years of experience, this course will give you a better understanding of how to stay compliant, serve all clients fairly, and avoid unintentional mistakes.

Why take it?
Because Fair Housing isn’t just a rule—it’s part of our responsibility as professionals. This course will help you feel more confident and prepared; with real tools you can use right away.
